Free Cat [Apr. 10th, 2007|09:51 am]
NY Kids

Unfortunately, I am going to be moving in with some new people in the Albany area who already have cats. I am afraid their cats and mine will not jive well, so I am looking for someone to take my wonderful kitty in.

Her name is Bogo, she is 2 years old, has all her shots and has been fixed. She is pretty independent and likes to cuddle. She is friendly and good with adults and kids. Will be a little skiddish at first but when I got her (She was already 8 months old) she became used to me within a week. I would be willing deliver her to you along with a litter box. I am only willing to give her to a good home, and if at anytime you find it's not working out, I would take her back. Don't worry, I won't be one of those people who "checks in" on her, I just want to make sure she will have a good place to live.

If you are interested, my email is darlene.beherns@gmail.com or you can reply to this post.

Hazing [Mar. 24th, 2006|02:19 pm]
NY Kids
Hello, we are two students at Rochester Institute of Technology currently engaged in an independent study project addressing the issue of hazing. The goal of this project is two-pronged - we wish to discover the prevalence of hazing in the state as well as get your opinion on what should be done about it, if anything.

Under the lj-cut is our survey, which asks a variety of questions about your personal experiences with hazing, and we would greatly appreciate it if you could take a minute or two from your time to fill it out really quickly. We even have questions at the beginning for those who have never experienced hazing but wish to share their opinion on the subject. Additionally, each question gives you the option to answer in more detail beyond the choices we have already provided. We encourage you to take advantage of this if you have more include in your answer.

Your responses to this survey are anonymous, so please do not put your name (or any information that would identify you) anywhere on this survey. You may quit the survey at any time and for any reason, or you may decline to answer any of the questions, but your responses to every question are important and we ask that you answer as many of the questions as you possibly can. You may post your answers however you like - under your user name, anonymously, or you may e-mail them to us at hazing.survey@gmail.com. All posts will be screened, so no one except you, us, and the community administrator will be able to see your responses.

Please inform us of any questions, concerns, or feedback you might have. Thank you in advance for your time.

Apartment on Conesus Lake [Feb. 17th, 2006|09:54 am]
NY Kids

[Current Mood |hopefulhopeful]

Hey everyone. Are any girls (or couples) in the Geneseo area looking for an apartment for next year? It is on Conesus Lake, right on the water. $416.50 a month, fully furnished including dishes. All utilities are included, except internet. However, the landlady is talking about adding wireless internet to be included in the rent, she hasn't entirely made up her mind. Two full baths, huge kitchen and living room, dining area, and three bedrooms. I have one or two bedrooms open, I do have some interested parties, but no definits yet so I don't know whether both are still open or one is gone. I also have a cat
named Hercules. The landlady is great, the view is gorgeous. Facebook me (Lisa Robbins) for pictures. The place is about 15 feet from the water, which is awesome. It really is a beautiful place and more than worth the money. It is about a 10 minute drive from campus, but more than worth it. If you are interested but don't have a car, I am willing to carpool, and I would imagine whoever else rents would be cooperative too :-) The place also has an outdoor barbeque grill and fire pit, so it's really great during the fall months for having a friend or two out :-). Lots of parking as well. Any questions feel free to email me lar9@geneseo.edu or call 315-212-6007. Hope to hear from you :-)
